Therapy FAQs

How often will I attend therapy?

For best results, we suggest new clients attend sessions weekly or every other week. This helps in building a strong relationship, tracking progress, and addressing issues promptly. Regular sessions also give you the support to make meaningful progress in your personal growth.

Are sessions in person or virtual? Can I do both?

Crescent Counseling Center offers both in-person and virtual sessions, depending on your preference. A hybrid of both is also available!

My child is starting therapy. Do I attend sessions with them?

Parent involvement is crucial in therapy for successful treatment. Therapists recognize parents' impact on their child's life and therapy outcomes.

Involvement levels vary per situation, with options like joining sessions or having separate check-ins between parent and therapist.

Your child's therapist will collaborate with you to decide what level of involvement is best.

How long will I be in therapy?

Length of treatment is unique to each client and their goals.

Short-term/solution focused therapy usually lasts 3 to 6 sessions.

Long term individual therapy typically lasts 3 to 6 months. If needed, therapy can continue based on individual progress and needs. This personalized approach ensures clients get the support to reach their goals.
