Background:

Sally has worked with a diverse client population encompassing care for a variety of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, self-harm, suicidal ideations, and trauma. Sally understands the importance of developing trust and rapport to make the client feel comfortable, safe, and heard. She believes when trust is established, they can begin setting goals and establishing coping skills. She maintains that a successful relationship with the client is based on trust, communication, empathy, and intuition.

Technique:

Sally’s preferred theoretical orientation is Cognitive Behavior Therapy; however, she frequently draws about Solution-Focused, Person-Centered, Play Therapy and often incorporates mindfulness and grounding exercises. The theory she will utilize depends on the client and the unique situation. Sally currently holds a license as a Licensed Professional Counselor from the Commonwealth of Virginia and a Pupil Personnel Services License in School Counseling from the Commonwealth of Virginia.

In her free time, Sally enjoys traveling, binge watching Netflix or Hulu, and spending time with her family and dogs.
