Background:

Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, Nicole earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at East Tennessee State University. There, Nicole was in the Honors-in-Discipline program, and completed an undergraduate research thesis. Nicole went on to earn her Master’s degree at Marymount University in Arlington, VA. Nicole fell in love with the Northern Virginia area and has decided to stay! Nicole has worked at a range of levels of care, from inpatient hospital work, to residential, PHP, IOP, and weekly therapy. Nicole is experienced in working with substance use disorders for those aged 12 and up, and is passionate about working with adolescents and those experiencing life transitions.

Technique:

Nicole uses Motivational Interviewing, DBT, CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and has used other evidence-based programs like Seeking Safety and Invitation to Change.

Just for fun:

In her free time, Nicole is either at art class, running (slowly!), or reading with her dog right by her side.
