Background:
Nazanin grew up in Northern Virginia and has over 6 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. She received her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from George Mason University and has worked in a variety of settings including community mental health and non-profit counseling centers.
Technique:
Nazanin uses a humanistic, strength-based approach and focuses on holistic transformation through self-compassion, empowered choice, and exploration of strengths and wisdom. Her experiences include trauma work, anxiety, depression, ADHD, self-esteem, relationship issues, and life transitions. Her style is warm and empathetic, yet direct, and she helps clients through a variety of collaborative and evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, and attachment-based. Nazanin is a first-generation Iranian and is passionate about serving multicultural and LGTBQ+ communities, intersectional identities, and social justice advocacy.
