Background:

Matt is from the Midwest, moving to the East Coast about 12 years ago. He is a Resident in Counseling, having received his Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The College of William & Mary. Matt has worked at the local, national and international levels of disaster and crisis management, focusing for the past 5 years on helping individuals and families recover from all stages of mental health crisis.

Technique:

Matt uses combination therapy, with focus on CBT, solution-focused, and person-centered techniques to empower clients and partner together to find lasting solutions to emotional and life challenges.

Just for fun:

When not working, Matt enjoys exploring nature, traveling, and photography.

Matt, Resident in Counseling, is currently working toward licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). He is registered with the Virginia Board of Counseling. Matt provides clinical services under the supervision of the LPC listed below. As a Resident in Counseling, Matt does not obtain or provide services on an independent basis, and he does not independently submit insurance claims. All insurance claims are submitted through Crescent Counseling Center.
